A walk through the darkness

Lower Manhattan is currently powerless and eerie after dark. As a photographer living in NYC, I had a unique opportunity to capture this city in a different light…or more specifically darkness.

Last night I ventured out with my camera, grabbed my widest aperture, and cranked the ISO, here Is what i captured:

After a walk on the Highline, i noticed a very large number of pigeons sitting in branches and on buildings. As I started taking photos of them, something spooked them and they all took off at once. i was literally spinning around with my camera snapping shots as they circled the area.
